De’Sean Mattox is a professional basketball player, currently overseas in Malta. He helps lead our skill development opportunities when stateside & places big emphasis on teaching fundamentals. As an active player still traveling to play the game, he’s been great at incorporating progressive drills at camps & clinics, while ensuring young players form a solid base foundation. Coach Mattox has a knack for improving players’ ball handling & developing athletes to have point guard mindsets & skillsets within their repertoire. His own ability to read defenders & develop counters allows him to articulate & demonstrate to participants.

Like a few of other members of our team, Coach Mattox grew up in Phoenix, AZ. After high school, he played collegiately in Oregon at both Treasure Valley Community College and Eastern Oregon University. From there, Mattox has kept busy playing in countries like Columbia, India, & Italy. He even has a Championship title in Armenia.

Prior to his current season in Malta, Coach Mattox helped with youth development in Oregon as well as trained players out of Arizona.
